Short answer

The full Namma Metro Blue Line from Silk Board to the airport is now targeted for March 2028, delayed from December 2027, according to an August 2026 report. Some sections may open earlier. Treat all dates as targets that have slipped before.

Namma Metro Blue Line

The Blue Line runs from Silk Board through KR Puram and on to the airport, about 58 km in total. Reported targets as of 28 August 2026:

| Section | Reported target | | --- | --- | | Full line, Silk Board to airport | March 2028 (earlier target was December 2027) | | Silk Board to KR Puram | Trial runs targeted for October 2026 | | KR Puram to Nagawara | Mid-2027 | | Nagawara to Hebbal and the airport stretch | September to October 2027 for the Hebbal section | | Yelahanka Air Force Station to the airport terminal | Contractors have asked until March 2027 to finish the work |

These are reported targets, not commitments. Check the latest statement from BMRCL before relying on any date.

How to use infrastructure information

  • Use it to understand the direction of the area, not to justify a price.
  • Prefer dates from the implementing agency over sales material.
  • Re-check before you sign. This page records the position on the date shown above.

Other projects

Further projects in the corridor, including road and industrial developments, will be added here once each is confirmed against an official or primary source.

Questions people ask

When will the metro reach the airport?

As of an August 2026 report, the authority targets March 2028 for the full Blue Line from Silk Board to the airport. Sections are expected earlier, for example KR Puram to Nagawara by mid-2027.

Should I pay more for a plot because a metro is coming?

Do not price a purchase on an announced date. Infrastructure timelines have repeatedly slipped. Compare the price with what comparable plots sell for today.
